Ron's Career Path
Came from a construction background, served on active duty as a Plumber/Pipefitter in the US Army Corps of Engineers. I went through a vocational rehabilitation program with the Veteran’s Administration in Drafting and was able to earn my architect license with years of experience.
Service to Veterans
I'm always looking for ways to help military veterans, please call me at (314) 401-3739 if you know of a projects needing volunteer help. As a service disabled veteran I know firsthand some of challenges veterans face and I’m very passionate about helping to meet their needs. In my town I’m working with the local college and a property owner to redevelop a building as a place for GI’s going back to school and meet and collaborate and rekindle some of the comradery they had while on active duty.
What Sets Our Firm Apart?
RWPowell Architecture LLC is a very technical firm. We are quite possibility the best at capturing and documenting existing buildings. We have a portable Revit and CAD System that allows us the measure, draw, and photograph the existing conditions. When the team leaves the site they will have a working model or CAD files the design team can use with confidence. Accuracy with existing conditions greatly reduced problems during construction. Use of cutting edge tools that link with Revit BIM. Revit database linking to Codebook. Also Affinity, Trelligence and dRofus space planning tools. We are also very good with detailing the building envelope. Our staff works in teams to test the constructability of the drawings before they go into construction.
Federal Set Asides for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)
I’m so grateful to have the chance to seek VA and other federal projects under the SDVOSB Set Aside Program. In the military and life in general I’ve developed very good leadership skills, and while my firm lack some experience with federal projects, We form teams with resumes full of successful VA and other government projects.
